Bela Borsodi studied and made his degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna
He lives and works in New York since 1992.
Bela Borsodi concentrates on still life photography in a very unorthodox way: He places objects in new, surprising contexts, thereby bringing them to life and producing an effect of subtle irony, humor and originality. His stills are built and constructed in camera and postproduction is kept to an absolute minimum.
Most of the sets he creates, he develops and builds himself as they are an integral part of his imagery and conceptual process. In 2013 Bela started working on short films as a director.
